About our loan-request service
A free service that sends one request for a $500 to $5,000 personal loan to independent lenders, so you can compare offers before you borrow.

What we do
We run a loan-request service for people who need a small personal loan and want to compare offers before they decide. You fill in one form, and lenders in our network review it and show any offer they can make.

We do not lend money, make credit decisions or set rates. Lenders in our network are independent companies that follow the laws of the states where they lend. When a lender can make an offer, it shows you the APR, fees, term and payment, and you choose whether to accept.
Our focus is the $500 to $5,000 range, because that is where many people get stuck: too much for savings, too small for many large banks. We built the service so that a person who needs $1,200 for a repair can compare several offers as easily as someone borrowing far more.
Why we built it
We built this service because comparing small loans is harder than it should be. Many large banks start at $2,500 or more, and applying to several lenders one at a time takes hours and can add hard inquiries.
A single request that reaches more than one lender saves time and makes comparison simple. Our guides add context, such as what a crown or a funeral typically costs and how to read an offer, so you can judge whether an offer is fair.
How we are paid
Our service is free to you. Lenders in our network may pay us when they make a loan to someone who used our form. That payment never changes the APR or terms a lender offers you.
Because lenders pay us only when a loan is made, we have an interest in matching you with lenders likely to make an offer. We do not accept payment to say favorable things about a lender in our guides. Our advertiser disclosure explains the arrangement in more detail.
What we are not
We are not a lender, a broker that negotiates on your behalf, a credit repair company or a debt settlement company. We are also not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Discover Bank, Discover Financial Services or Capital One.
Some visitors arrive after searching for a Discover loan. We cannot submit an application to Discover or access a Discover account. If you want a Discover loan, apply on Discover’s own website. If you want to compare offers from other lenders, our form can help.
Our editorial standards
Our guides are written by staff writers using lender disclosures, federal consumer guidance and published cost surveys. We update pages when rates, rules or lender terms change, and every guide shows when it was last updated.
We aim for plain English, specific numbers and examples that state their assumptions. We correct errors promptly; if you spot one, please email us. Our blog lists every guide by topic, and our glossary explains the terms used across the site.
How to reach us
You can reach us by email or phone with questions about the service. Questions about a specific offer or loan are best answered by the lender that made it, since we cannot see or change loan accounts.
Our contact details are on the contact page and in the footer of every page. If you have a complaint about a lender, we will pass it along where the lender is in our network, and our reviews page explains how to file a complaint with regulators.

It takes about five minutes, there is no fee to use our service and you are never obligated to accept an offer.
